It is the fear of being seen as a “sell out” or “too commercial” and ostracised from the art community. Often this fear can subconsciously {or consciously} paralyse artists into avoiding any entrepreneurial effort or plan. Sadly before more artists dare take steps into entrepreneurship there needs to be a fundamental shift in the art establishment and the way art is taught.
