Can Online Mega Courses Change Education?

TIME and the Carnegie Corporation of New York hosted a Google Hangout to discuss the future of college. Moderator Amanda Ripley, recently wrote a  cover story (“College Is Dead. Long Live College!”) examining whether a new breed of online mega courses can finally offer a college education to more people for less money. In this presentation Michele Cahill of the Carnegie Corporation, Andrew Ng of Coursera and Arthur Levine of the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation talk with Ripley about cost, access, and the quality of higher education—as well as how much technology and globalization are changing the equation.
