Whitney Ferre’s creative career began in 1996 when she opened The Creative Fitness Center in Nashville, TN. The center provided it’s clientele with the opportunity to “work out” their creative muscles with visual art classes. Empowered by their new ability to conquer the blank canvas, students created change in other areas of their lives. Inspired by her students, Ferre began to write her book, The Artist Within: A Guide to Becoming Creatively Fit that was just published November 2008.
She is inspired daily to share with individuals and businesses how they can access and strengthen their right brain ability in order to empower themselves to create change. Clients include AMEX, the YMCA, Columbia HCA, The Sommet Group, Gaylors Entertainment and many more. She currently is working with the Nashville Arts & Business Council and is a PACE presenter at this year’s CPSI Conference in Boston this June.
Whitney Ferre is originally from Chicago and is a graduate of The University of Michigan with a Bachelor of General Studies, a perfect degree considering that Whitney also co-owns a wine bar in Nashville (rumourswinebar.com), leads corporate creativity workshops, teaches art and creativity classes, and is a mother of three.
